Folding a napkin into a 6-sided Star of David would seem complicated to me, but this tutorial simplifies the process.

It takes less than ten folds to achieve the desired result.  The tutorial is easy to follow and not too fast.

This is a nice and easy quick way to produce restaurant-class folded napkins.  The kids could even help you.

Supplies Needed

  • Square dinner napkin

Step-By-Step Instructions

  • Unfold the napkin.
  • Fold the top right-hand corner to about an inch from the other side. The lower right-hand side should come to a smooth point.
  • Fold the top side about an inch down.
  • Take the left-hand side and fold to the right, with the edge meeting the right-hand side.
  • You should have a triangle shape.
  • Adjust the top fold if necessary.
  • Fold the top point so it reaches the bottom of the triangle.
  • Take that fold and fold back over. The point will be about an inch past the edge of the napkin.
  • Take the left-hand corner and fold it up.
  • Take that fold and fold back over. The point will be about an inch past the edge of the napkin.
  • Take the right-hand point and fold it to the middle.
  • Take that fold and fold back over. The point will be about an inch past the edge of the napkin.
  • Carefully turn the finished napkin over.
