It’s the time of year when kids all over the world are eagerly writing letters to Santa, telling him what they want for Christmas. But what does Santa do after Christmas is over? Does he take a break? Or does he have a busy summer ahead of him? Does he spend time with his elves, making toys for next year? Does he just sit around and eat cookies all day?
It’s a little-known fact, but Santa Claus doesn’t just sit around at the North Pole all year waiting for Christmas time to roll around again. Father Christmas, also known as Pere Noel, St Nicholas, or Sinterklaas is a busy man. He must take care of his reindeer, oversee the construction of new toys, and plan for next year’s Christmas Eve delivery route. And of course, Santa’s sleigh needs to be serviced and his red suit needs to be cleaned and pressed.
But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have time for a little R&R. Here’s a look at what Santa Claus does during his summer vacation.
1. Santa Spends Some Time Resting
Santa spends time with his wife, Mrs. Claus. One of the best things about summertime is that Santa finally has some time to relax and spend with his wife. They often go on picnics together, take a leisurely sleigh ride, or take walks through the snow-covered woods near their home at the North Pole.
Santa also enjoys reading books, watching movies, and playing games. When he’s not spending time with Mrs. Claus, you can usually find Santa reading one of his favorite books or playing chess with an elf. He also likes to play video games from time to time (his current favorite is “Fortnite”).
2. Santa Goes On Vacation
Yes, even Santa Claus needs a break from work every now and then! He often takes trips to warm places during the summer months. But don’t worry, he always comes back in time to get ready for Christmas!
Santa travels all over the world visiting his family and friends; he and his wife spend time laughing and enjoying themselves. To them, Santa is known as “Nick”.
He goes to places like Australia, where it’s summertime in January. He has fun going swimming and surfing and he always remembers his sunscreen! He also visits countries where it’s wintertime all year round, like Antarctica. And sometimes he even takes trips to space!
When he’s not traveling to the many countries that he loves, Santa enjoys spending time at his summer home in Hawaii. He likes to go surfing and play golf. He also likes to eat lots of Hawaiian food, like pineapple and coconut. And of course, he always takes time to visit with all the children on the island.
